With all the fun characters of a western and the
twists and turns of a murder mystery, this show is a real
hoot! When the reviled Albert Webster turns up
murdered the morning of his wedding to local sweetheart
Kayla May Blossom, there’s no shortage of suspects
in the sleepy town of Pine Grove. Luckily, there’s
also no shortage of town gossips, each with her own
theory acted out in hilarious slow-mo fashion for the
audience to see! Could it have been saloon girl
Darleen, the last one to see Albert and the girl he
dumped for Kayla May? Was it Virgil, the reluctant
best man and ex-boyfriend of Kayla May? Maybe it
was lonely Harley, who snuffed out Albert to steal his
bride? How about Hazel, the about-to-be-evicted
mother of the bride? It’s going to take all
of Sheriff Tickle’s investigative skills, along
with his sidekick daughter Sarah and extra help from the
audience, to solve this animated mystery.

DIRECTOR'S
NOTES

In my experience, in
order for a life lesson to really hit home, it has to
really hit home;
smack you right upside
the head. This experience has left my head ringing.
Lesson one: never judge a director until you've sat in
his chair.
Lesson two:
never sit in his chair;
it's hard and uncomfortable. Thankfully, a CLOC
production is a group
effort.
I've
had the help of amazing people, including my guys, Tony
and Scotty C.,
who, in addition to co-directing,
took on roles when
needed. I send a big thank you to the CLOC veterans who
helped put this production together and who, more
particularly, directed the director.
I send a bigger thank
you to CLOC newcomers,
Casey Green, Denise
Turner, Jane Wood, and Dalton Wright. We had some casting
challenges
due to busy schedules and these individuals stepped up
and out of their comfort zones to help. Everyone, from
the cast to those backstage, volunteers
countless hours. Their
time is greatly appreciated. As Arlan Ponder says,
"if you came to
this show expecting
to see 'real' theater ...you came to the wrong place."
CLOC's casting process
is extraordinarily rigorous;
whoever
shows up gets a part,
even the audience.
(Feel free to cheer,
boo, and throw
popcorn at the villain - don't be surprised if it gets
thrown back). That is why CLOC productions are so much
fun:
they bring like-minded
people together;
cast, crew, and
audience. One of the best things in life is having
someone to laugh
with and here, there is a Pavilion full of them.
Thank you for coming and
for
supporting CLOC and the local community !c
